Padded Grip Sock: ShockPad
Grip underneath. Padding on top.
Getting stepped on is part of the game. The Padded Grip Sock puts a cushioned ShockPad over the top of your foot to absorb impact from studs, and grip pads inside and out hold your foot steady in the cleat.
Most grip socks stop the slide. That's where they stop.
Grip dots keep your foot from moving inside the boot. Over the top of the foot, where studs come down in a tackle, a standard sock is a thin layer of knit.
A standard grip sock
- Grip pads on the sole
- Thin knit over the top of the foot
MediCaptain Padded Grip Sock
- Rubber grip pads inside and outside the sock
- Cushioned ShockPad over the metatarsals that absorbs impact and reduces the risk of injury from cleat contact
- Protected by U.S. Design Patent No. D1,056,442
The black pad across the top of each foot is the ShockPad.
Padding on top. Grip on both sides.
Pull it on like any grip sock. The protection sits where studs land and the grip sits where your foot slides.
-
Metatarsal ShockPad
Proprietary padding covers the metatarsals, the bones across the top of your foot, and absorbs impact when a cleat comes down on it.
-
Grip outside
Rubber grip pads on the outside of the sock hold it against the inside of your cleat.
-
Grip inside
Grip pads on the inside hold your foot against the sock, so your foot stays put and rubs less.

Questions players ask.
Will this sock prevent injuries?
No sock can promise that. The ShockPad absorbs impact from studs and reduces the risk of injury from cleat contact.
Will it fit in my cleats?
It's thicker than a standard sock, so cleats take more effort to pull on, especially narrow ones or ones with a sock collar. Loosen the laces fully or use a shoe horn.
Which size do I need?
Youth fits boys 3.5 to 5.5. S fits men's 6 to 8.5, M fits men's 8.5 to 10 and L fits men's 10.5 to 13.
Can I wear it for other sports?
Yes. It works in any cleated sport, including soccer, football, rugby, lacrosse and baseball.
What if it doesn't work for me?
MediCaptain offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
